There’s something almost no one talks about when it comes to birthdays.
And that is that, deep down, we all remain the child we once were; the one who laughed for no reason, who got into harmless trouble, who ate ice cream until their stomach hurt, who found magic in small things. And the beautiful part of growing up isn’t leaving that child behind, it’s learning how to carry them with us.
Growing older means allowing yourself to keep those little things, but with the maturity that life gives you through both gentle moments and hard lessons, and believe me when I say this: you are still a little girl inside, even if you don’t always notice it, i see it in the way you get excited, in how you drift into your thoughts, in certain gestures you make without realizing it.................. and I love watching you be that way, i love that the world hasn’t managed to dim that light in you.
